Agile Estimate is a versatile tool designed to assist software professionals such as developers, testers, team leaders, and product managers operating within Agile frameworks. It offers a customizable set of digital planning cards compatible with various devices, replacing traditional paper-based methods and enhancing workflow efficiency.

The application includes card selections tailored to multiple Agile methodologies, including Scrum, XP, and Crystal. Users should select the card sets that align with their specific process to ensure accurate estimations. This customization is accessible through the Preferences tab, allowing for streamlined setup.

Within Agile Estimate, the cards depict different measures of effort or points, which team members can select to represent their estimate for completing a work item. Cards can be browsed via scrolling or searched directly by name, with full-screen viewing available upon selection. The interface supports both portrait and landscape orientations for optimal usability.

Available card sets include:

<li>Double: 0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128—reflecting exponential effort doubling</li>
<li>Effort: 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 ... up to 10</li>
<li>Fibonacci: 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89</li>
<li>General: ? (unknown), infinity (indicating an undefined or epic scope), pi (symbolic), a Coffee Break card (for pausing estimation), Too Small (potentially unworthy of a story), and Too Big (requiring further breakdown)</li>
<li>Linear: 0 to 10</li>
<li>Poker: 0, 1/2, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 20, 40, 100</li>
<li>T-Shirt Sizes: XXS through XXL</li>
</ul>

Expert users can leverage several practical features:
<ul>
<li>Swiping vertically on a displayed card adjusts the estimate incrementally—swipe up to increase and down to decrease without returning to the list.</li>
<li>The ability to append "d" or "h" via horizontal swipes on cards indicates effort in days or hours. A control exists within the card list to set this default preference.</li>
<li>A two-finger swipe downward conveniently hides the current card view.</li>
</ul>
